![]() ![]() 29, the USS Cole slowly moved away from the pier with a small crew aboard to monitor the ship. ![]() They ran several hydraulic pumps to the critical spaces and had discharge lines over the side in case a space started to fill with water.  The only time in my life I've been this scared, I just knew that there was something behind me waiting for the right moment to kill me. The USS Cole is towed from the port of Aden, Yemen.  I don’t think having a gun would have matter,  it was dark, all I had was my surefire flashlight, and I was up to my elbows in blood.  Then I realized we were in cat country, and then it down on me that I was sitting next to this animal inviting every critter out there for dinner with nothing to defend myself with but a knife. ![]()  He took my gun so we could lighten up our load on the way down. The feat of carrying the 6,800 ton heavy and 505. It has the capacity to carry approximately 30,000 tons. We don’t have to worry about four legged critters around here, but we have sharks, lots of them!  When I'm spear fishing or catching lobsters I worry about bull sharks, they are mean, extremely aggressive and they are never alone!  They will not hesitate to come up to you and take your catch or a chunk of you. ![]()
